Laurel Darren, owner of Wild Bunch Desert Guides, Scottsdale, Ariz., demonstrated during a hospitality industry meeting in McDowell Sonoran Preserve the advanced features of a brand-new Marin mountain bike, the cutting-edge standard ride for the guiding outfit’s mountain bike tours in the Sonoran Desert.
For the upcoming tour season, Wild Bunch Desert Guides recently acquired a full line of the 2019 Marin hardtail mountain bike model, which features plus-sized tires to better grip challenging desert terrains, 1X drivetrains for quick pedal-power acceleration, high-strength frames and additional features to enhance the mountain biking experience for visitors to Scottsdale and the Metro Phoenix Area. 
Darren was host and helped organize the meeting of the Arizona Chapter of the National Concierge Association at Gateway Trailhead, McDowell Sonoran Preserve, Scottsdale, May 22, 2019.
Adventure guides from Wild Bunch Desert Guides lead hiking tours in the preserve preceding the meeting. 
Officials from the City of Scottsdale’s McDowell Sonoran Preserve and the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy presented updates on the 30,500-acre Sonoran Desert preserve to the audience of concierge and hospitality industry leaders and business owners. 
During the meeting, Darren presented to Justin Owen, executive director of the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy, a $500 donation to the organization. MSC works to promote and protect the pristine public land in Scottsdale’s preserve, which is the largest city-owned preserve in North America and includes the McDowell Mountains with more than 200 miles of trails for non-motorized use accessed from multiple trailheads in Scottsdale.
